Learn to love truth, only truth, nothing but the truth………

I grew up with a whole litany of reasons why the heart was desperately wicked, and who can ever know it? I picture a dusty, dry well full of poisonous snakes writhing angrily, looking for a way out. My heart is wicked, and I cannot trust it one tiny bit.

What was she wearing? She looks down over herself. She is thirteen. Her dress is long and big. She sighs. Relief. She might be able to not be raped that day. She hopes so.

For the first six weeks, I do very little housework, very little laundry, and zero homeschooling. We pause life and slip into the delicious newborn bubble, every single one of us from the teenager to the toddler. The newborn weeks flash by so fast it’s mind-boggling!

Isn't it true that it is a chronic problem in today's Christian culture to let our yes be yes, and our no be no? You know what I am talking about, right?

I sat there in the plane seat with my bottom lip firmly between my teeth, and my eyes full of tears. I didn’t even care that the passengers still loading were curiously glancing at me as they went by. I just sat there and allowed the pain to have its way. One doesn’t pick the moments when its grief you are talking about.

I was just a small sapling when I became uprooted from the earth where my tentacles had crawled deep, finding a foothold to brace myself from the winds that washed over the Pennsylvania landscape.

Personally, I think there are answers. Just because up until now there have been very few answers, doesn’t mean there are no answers. But do I have the answers? Not necessarily. But maybe talking about it will at least help you not feel alone.
